Gary Shankland
MNAEA – Director

Gary has been an estate agent for over 35 years and has spent the last 26 years working in Otley and the surrounding villages, establishing himself as a very popular and well known local figure with an unrivalled understanding of the local property market that made him the go to estate agent for honest valuations and outstanding local knowledge. Gary grew up and still lives in Burley In Wharfedale with his wife and three lads. A keen lover of all sports, especially football, the time has come where playing now means with the veterans and enjoying watching his lads play for their respective teams.

Jeremy Barraclough
MNAEA – Director

Jeremy is another member of the management team, very well known by many in the Wharfedale & Aireborough districts. Jeremy commenced his estate agency life in 2011 joining the same firm as Gary and gaining an outstanding reputation of exceptional customer care as well as successfully managing award winning offices in Guiseley, Horsforth & Silsden. Married with two young daughters, Jeremy grew up in Menston attending St Mary’s Comprehensive school before heading off to university and returning to his home in Menston. Another sports fan Jeremy has been a long suffering Bradford City season ticket holder far too long, seeing the odd good time but more downs than ups!

John Timms
Independent Mortgage Advisor

John is a director at T&C Financial Services, independent mortgage advisers and has been based in Otley for over 20 years. His firm offers whole of market advice and can help with all of your borrowing needs including purchases for first time buyers and home movers, re mortgages, second charges and bridging loans. He will provide advice face to face or over the phone if more convenient, at a time to suit you. His company aims to provide you with a first class service to help you through the mortgage application process. Many of John’s customers come back to him on a regular basis when they need advice and are also happy to recommend him to friends and colleagues.

David Perkin
DEA – Energy Assessor

David trained through the College of Estate Management at Reading University in 2006 and became a Domestic and Non-Domestic Energy Assessor accredited through Elmhurst Energy and National Energy Services. He is also DBS checked which is now a requirement of all energy assessors. Since 2006 David has been providing an EPC assessing service to estate agents, solicitors, landlords and homeowners throughout Yorkshire. He has worked with solar panel installation companies and insulation contactors and his background in an architectural drawing office has enabled him to be able to provide a floor plan drawing service to Shankland Barraclough in addition to producing energy assessments.

Adam Hunter
Photographer

Our photographer, Adam has been producing high quality photography and video within the property and interior design industry for 15 years, with his photography being showcased in the national press, magazines and on television. Blending artistry with technical expertise to produce eye-catching and evocative photographs that leave a lasting impression with potential buyers, Adam has developed a style of photography that shows a property in the best light possible. Bright imagery and a keen eye for detail, allow his photography to tell the story of the home you're looking to sell. His extensive knowledge and experience put him in the best place to advise on the best way to prepare a property for photos in the ever increasingly important role that great photos play in attracting potential buyers.

Jonathan Barraclough
FRICS (Retired)

Jonathan is a retired Chartered Surveyor who worked locally for over 40 years as a surveyor, estate agent and company director in Guiseley and Otley. Jonathan has lived in Burley In Wharfedale and Menston for most of his life with his wife and has brought up three children who attended the local schools and he helps the team with accompanied viewings and administrative roles using his outstanding local knowledge and experiences to answer people’s questions and help our clients sell their homes.
